Makali’i Rising

An incredible 5 day / 5 night Hawaiian-focused immersion with Kumu Ramsay Taum focused on grounding our spirituality and inner healing into contextual & culturally regenerative futures. We will utilize spiritual, emotional, mental and physical frameworks to embody aloha, peace and forgiveness as quantum magnets for collective abundance and holistic welfare.

When? Makahiki: October 24-29, 2024

Where? Makaha Valley, O’ahu, Hawai’i

"Ho'okahi ka 'ilau like ana." - "All paddling together in unison."

— Hawaiian proverb

"Ke mālama nei kākou i nā ʻano Makahiki, e ola ai ka nohona Hawaiʻi." - By keeping the traditions of Makahiki, the Hawaiian way of life thrives.

Context is as important as content. Makahiki season is a four-month period of the year, beginning with the first sighting of the Makali’i (the constellation Pleiades) in late October or early November on the horizon. Makali’i is the metaphor of the “little eyes”, a refocusing of our vision and our energy. The time of Lono, Makahiki is also a time of reaping what you sowed in abundance and gratitude with your family, community, and inner family as well. It is a reflective time of sanctuary where peace, celebration and gratitude abound. It is a time to go in; it is an INsploration, rather than an exploration.

Where are we staying?

We are staying in the Mākaha Valley on the Leeward Coast (Westside) of O’ahu. It's literally at the 'end of the road.' To its west, there are no more border towns, just the pristine wilderness of the Waianae Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean. This further heightens Makaha's feeling of remoteness and serenity, offering residents a sense of living at the very edge of civilization, where untouched nature meets human habitat.
